First solar kerosene on display at ILA 2018 in Berlin

Location: Berlin ExpoCenter Airport, Messestr. 1, 12529 Schönefeld (Selchow)

Bauhaus Luftfahrt contributes to the ILA Future Lab Forum “Sustainable aviation fuels” on 26.4.2018 (10:15-11:15, Hall 2 – 204).

Subsequently to this event, the first probe of solar kerosene from the SOLAR-JET project (LINK to www.solar-jet.aero) will be on display at the Bauhaus Luftfahrt Exhibition Booth.

The EU-funded SOLAR-JET project has successfully demonstrated the entire production chain for renewable kerosene obtained directly from sunlight, water and carbon dioxide, using a solar reactor technology that has been pioneered at ETH Zurich. Further project partners of SOLAR-JET were DLR, ARTTIC and Shell Global Solutions. The main objective of the current EU-project SUN-to-LIQUID is an up-scale and field validation of solar-thermochemical fuel technology, the current progress of the SUN-to-LIQUID project can be discussed from 25.4. -29.4 at the Bauhaus Luftfahrt Booth (Hall 2 – 403).
